Universal Catastrophe Response Team Members are available to take claims, help schedule adjuster visits, provide claims status and answer claims related questions.  Hours of operation for the Mobile Catastrophe Response Unit and Disaster Recovery Center are Monday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Emergency claims service representatives are available to assist customers with claims around the clock.  As of Sunday, September 21, Universal North America had received a total of 1113 home and auto hurricane claims.

All claims reported currently have been assigned to field adjusters for handling.  Adjusters are now in the process of scheduling inspections and conducting loss assessments.

“While we are happy to see the number of claims reported is relatively low, we know that may change,” stated Hale Campbell, vice president of claims for Universal North America.  “As power is restored, we expect to receive more calls.  When that happens, our Catastrophe Response Team is prepared with an adequate number of field adjusters standing by ready to assist our customers with claims.”

Universal North America policyholders with hurricane damage are urged to call our claims center at 866-999-0898 to report the damage as soon as possible.
